Herkimer Diamond

Herkimer Diamonds are a distinctive variety of double-terminated quartz crystals, named after Herkimer County in New York State where they were first discovered. Unlike most quartz crystals which form with a single point, Herkimers naturally form with two terminations, giving them a faceted, diamond-like appearance without any cutting or polishing.

Some pieces contain inclusions of black carbon or fluid inclusions (sometimes containing ancient water). In crystal tradition they are associated with clarity, attunement, and high-vibrational energy.
