Calcite is one of the most common carbonate minerals on earth, found in a wide range of colours depending on trace mineral content — Green Calcite gets its colour from chlorite inclusions. Softer than quartz (Mohs 3), it has a waxy surface and a distinctive pale-to-mid green tone that varies naturally from piece to piece. In crystal tradition it is associated with calm, renewal, and the heart chakra.
