Dumortierite is a deep blue fibrous aluminium silicate mineral, named after the French palaeontologist Eugène Dumortier. It forms in aluminium-rich metamorphic and igneous rocks and is prized for its deep, saturated blue colouration — ranging from violet-blue to rich royal blue.

These smooth shards showcase the mineral's characteristic fibrous texture and colour depth. Each piece is uniquely shaped with no two pieces the same.
