I have always loved crystals and tumbled stones — and most things shiny, if I'm honest. But I also have a deep appreciation for rough, raw crystals too. There is something magical about seeing the before and after: a crystal freshly mined and cleaned up versus one that has been polished and tumbled to a smooth, glowing finish.
It is also fascinating to see what other people are drawn to. It always used to be tumbled crystals, but there has been a real shift in recent years towards more natural, rougher pieces — and I love that.
Does Tumbling Affect a Crystal's Energy?
People often ask me whether tumbling makes any difference to the energy of a crystal. In my opinion, it makes no difference at all. I always say the right crystal will choose you — so go with the ones you are drawn to, take your time, and enjoy the process.
